Suzanne Teune
Art Therapy & Clinical Counseling Intern

Suzanne Joy Teune is doing her internship in art therapy and clinical counseling at Southwestern College, which is located in Santa Fe, NM. She is originally from the Chicago suburbs and has studied and made art her whole life. She was an art major at Wheaton College, in Wheaton, IL (her home town) and she did a post-baccalaureate at the Burren College of Art in Co. Clare, Ireland. She worked at CooperRiis Healing Community in Asheville, NC for 8 years and was also a field guide in wilderness therapy before that. She is a working artist as well as an intern art therapist and has a studio in Asheville's River Arts District. She is excited to be doing her internship with Woven Wholeness and is excited to offer art therapy alongside the beautiful things that Woven Wholeness is already offering. Suzanne is passionate about the healing power of art and craft and how important creativity is to our mental, spiritual, and physical health.
