I specialize in working with high-achieving women who are used to holding everything together but still feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns they can't seem to think their way out of. Maybe you understand why you do the things you do, but that understanding hasn't quite translated into feeling differently. Maybe you're tired of being the one who handles everything, of feeling like you're never quite enough, or of watching the same patterns show up in your relationships. My work focuses on developmental and complex trauma, attachment wounds, and the ways earlier experiences continue to shape how we feel, relate, and move through the world. Through Brainspotting, somatic approaches, and parts-informed work, I help clients move beyond understanding their patterns toward meaningful change.
But before we get into all of that, you should probably know a little about the human you'll be doing this work with.
Osiyo, hello. If you want to know all about my experience, professional background, and trainings, go ahead and scroll to the bottom of this spiel. I know that in order for you to do any of this (rewarding, but hard) work, you've got to know a bit about me as a person first. I'm a true-crime fanatic, amateur kayaker, dog lover, and jam band enthusiast. Oh, I also swear like a sailor. It's just my language. I paint. A lot. So don't be surprised when I show up to session with multi-colored hands. Come as you are, as I like to say.
I tend to surround myself with bold, opinionated, badass, resilient women. Most often the kind that embody all of those things but don't even know it, and certainly would never say that about themselves. Go figure, I work with them too.
I know what it's like to feel like "too much" and "not enough," at the very same time. Too loud, too quiet, too sassy, too passive, too eager, too reserved, too trusting, too guarded, too whatever. All you hear is that you're too opposite of what you're supposed to be. You feel some kind of broken, defective, damaged, and you're tired of living life like that.
I help people shatter these beliefs. I want to help you reclaim (or claim for the first time) your power. You need someone to listen without judgement and someone to guide you to your truth. You need someone to help you pick yourself up when you can’t do it on your own and someone to cut the B.S. when life has already given you too much of that.
I've been witnessing other humans in their healing in some capacity since 2011, and have been working in the clinical realm since 2015. In outdoor programs, young adult transition programs, residential treatment centers, virtually... I’ve learned a lot about helping people to get unstuck and feel at peace in their own bodies, walk with struggle compassionately versus shove it away only for it to grow bigger, discover their place in the world, and get what they're after in life.
Let’s work together to do that for you, too.
My work is grounded in the understanding that insight alone doesn't always create change. You can know exactly where a pattern came from and still find yourself repeating it. That's why I incorporate Brainspotting, somatic approaches, and parts-informed work to help clients explore the deeper emotional and physiological patterns that can persist even when they've done plenty of talking and thinking about their experiences. Brainspotting in particular centers indigenous wisdom and inner knowing.
I received my Masters in Social Work from Aurora University in Aurora, IL. Yes - I am a midwesterner at heart. I'm licensed to practice psychotherapy in North Carolina, Georgia, Colorado, Virginia , Pennsylvania , New Mexico. and also registered to practice telehealth in South Carolina and Florida. I have specialized training in trauma-responsive models and wear a very relational, client-centered lens in my work. I bring my personality to the table in our work together because, lets be real, you're not "going there" with me until you know me, like me, and trust me.
