Families in Crisis

Your family is in crisis mode, and you don't know where to turn next

It seems like you've tried everything. Maybe there's been outpatient therapy, IOP, PHP, medication changes, hospitalizations, countless calls with the school and teachers, grounding for so many months in a row that you've forgotten what you grounded them for. Maybe you haven't had a healthy, authentic conversation together in months and you have no idea where to begin. Perhaps there's blow ups and explosions or maybe its the opposite, you've got no idea what's going on in your kid's head but you know things aren't going down a healthy path. Substances, self harming, sneaking out, lying, failing school, and more. When the behavior gets risky and you don't know which way to turn, it's time to get your family help.

There's a big, wide world of support and options out there. As hard as families try, it can be crazy-making and feel like an impossible task to keep track of the avenues and their specialties. There's only so much you can learn from a website. You know that something needs to change but what steps do you take and when? I work with families in NC and GA to navigate this overwhelming time period in all of your lives and guide you toward the next best steps in your journey for healing and lasting change, whether that include steering you toward testing options, therapy options, or connecting your family with a therapeutic educational consultant.

Emily has worked in a variety of settings that have provided her the opportunity to become intimately familiar with the different options that families in crisis may have available to them. She worked in the outdoor behavioral health care/wilderness therapy and therapeutic boarding school/residential treatment center settings for over 6 years and these experiences have led to many relationships within the industry that help to point families in the south toward the best directions for them.
